Installing Cursor Editor

System Requirements
Before installing Cursor Editor, ensure your system meets these requirements:
- Operating System:
- Windows 10 or later
- macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later
- Linux: Ubuntu 20.04 or later, Debian 10 or later
- Hardware:
- 4GB RAM minimum (8GB recommended)
- 2GB free disk space
- 64-bit processor
- Internet connection for AI features
Windows Installation
- Download the latest Windows installer from the official website
- Run the downloaded .exe file
- Follow the installation wizard's instructions
- Choose your installation directory (default recommended)
- Wait for the installation to complete
- Launch Cursor Editor from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
macOS Installation
- Download the latest macOS .dmg file
- Open the downloaded .dmg file
- Drag Cursor Editor to your Applications folder
- Right-click Cursor Editor and select "Open"
- Click "Open" in the security dialog (first launch only)
Linux Installation
Using apt (Debian/Ubuntu):
curl -fsSL https://cursor.sh/install.sh | bash
Using snap:
sudo snap install cursor-editor
